Show Me The Money. Salaries Of All City of Northampton Department Heads

"The Mayor is making $100,000.00 a year! The Fire Chief just got a raise, he is making $120,000.00 now!" After often hearing comments similar to those, my own curiosity and desire to offer some facts led me to the Human Resource Department in Memorial Hall to get a list of the salaries for all the department heads in the City of Northampton. The salary of any and all public officials are public information, and available to anyone who requests it. Here is the list of salaries of every Department Head in Northampton, MA, current as of 10.01.07 as a google doc. It is reproduced below.

According to this article in the Daily Hampshire Gazette on 10.12.07, Jon Hite, Director of the Housing Authority, has just received a $9,000 raise, bringing his salary to $85,800. He was not included on the above list of department heads that Human Resources provided me.
